Rated 5 out of 5 by Stihl wedges are the best. Whether you are controlling a fall, or preventing a pinch while bucking, you gotta have a few good wedges. Stihl wedges are strong. They don't break, even in the cold. Just as importantly, they will not damage your chain when you inevitably cut into one. I have several of these nice little guys in various sizes, and none have let me down. I cannot say the same for other brands. May 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Durable and light I have used other brand's wedges and they broke in half only the second time I used it. The Stihl wedges are stronger and more reliable than others. I use the wedges for felling and bucking. Wedges are the safest way to fell a tree. I own three Stihl wedges, I smash them into the tree to prevent bar pinch and to control the tree while felling. I have hit the wedges with my saw and no damage occurred to the chain. Very useful tool. September 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Always have a couple with you Lightweight and tough but easy on your chain. If you are cutting wood, you need to have a few these with you. For the windblown trees I deal with, I am constantly needing to use wedges, and more than one at a time. When you have to stick your saw back into the tree, no need to worry about hitting your wedge with your chain, these wedges wont damage your chain. The best part about these wedges, they are really inexpensive. May 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by High QUALITY and holds up to hard use! I have purchased every size of STIHL wedges over the years and use them regularly in my felling and bucking processes. These wedges really take a beating and they have saved my bars many times. If I'm bucking large trees,I place a wedge in the top of the cut after about six inches of cut, this is truly a time saver,as well as a money saver when cutting firewood. Inexpensive and well worth their weight in gold! I use them all the time in the woods. January 21, 2013
